The Lanark Area Community Foundation has a rich history of providing local nonprofits and local causes with financial backing allowing them to focus on what they do best by increasing the quality of life for all citizens of Lanark.

Workation
Donated to Lanark First Brethren Church week long community outreach program geared toward service projects supporting those in need within the Lanark Community.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library
The LACF worked with the United Way to provide books to 116 Eastland students with a $3,000 donation. Each child receives 1 book a month.

H.I.T. Force
The Eastland Council of Churches received a gift from the LACF to support their Home Improvement Task Force Project (H.I.T. Force). The H.I.T. Force assists people in need with home improvement projects.

Cornucopia
The LACF gifted their initial grant to the Lanark Cornucopia Committee. The funds were put toward enhancing the Lanark Farmers Market which is currently held on Tuesdays from 3-6PM from May-October.

Lanark Park Board
The 2019 Lanark Park updates that featured new sidewalks, playground equipment, and sod was one of the projects LACF supported to better enhance the enjoyment in the community.

Local Research
In February 2020 the LACF surveyed community members to study the needs in the Lanark area. Participants were entered into a drawing to win a $250 grant to pass on to any local nonprofit of their choice. Our winner, Kyle Martz, chose to give the money to the Eastland Council of Churches General Fund where it was used to financially aid residents in need.

Lanark Transformers
Provided assistance in funding beautification projects in downtown Lanark, specifically the hanging flower baskets and business banners.

VFW / American Legion Flags & Poles Project
Funding was given to help with improvements around the area of the Veteran’s Memorial in the center of the Lanark Cemetery. Multiple new American flags & poles were added.

VFW / American Legion Memorial Wall Project
Grant funding was given to aid in the addition of more Memorial Walls at the Lanark Veteran’s Memorial. This will create space for more engraved bricks to permanently recognize local Veterans.
