There are numerous way the Eastland Area Community Foundation can benefit you…..

  1. Provide Funding for local not for profit organizations to help achieve their goals
  2. Connect people who care with causes that matter.
  3. Quick and easy approval process with local decision making authority to get your organization funds when you need them.

The Eastland Area Community Foundation (EACF) was created with the mission of Connecting People Who Care with Causes that Matter. The EACF offers the opportunity for local groups to receive grant money to help accomplish our mission.

Who is eligible?

  • 501 (c)(3) nonprofit groups in the Eastland area (including Lanark, Shannon & Lake Carroll)
  • Church, school, local government organizations

Not eligible but have a great idea to benefit quality of life in the Eastland area? The please consider partnering with a local group that is eligible. We can help!

When are grants available? How does the selection process work?

  • Applications are accepted at any time
  • Grants are awarded accordingly based on fund availability as well as project worthiness
  • Grant selection is made by the EACF board of directors
  • Response from EACF will be made in 6 weeks or less

What we want to support:

  • Projects that can benefit a wide range of community members
  • New and exciting projects that enhance quality of life in the Eastland area
  • Highly motivated volunteer efforts that inspire others to join in

What we do not fund:

  • Projects outside of the Eastland area
  • Individuals
  • Religious purposes (however, this does not exclude grants to religious organizations for non-religious purposes)
  • Political, labor, religious, fraternal organizations
  • Organizations that discriminate based on gender, race, religion, etc.

Instructions:

  • Fill out the application on the following page (for more space simply include a document of typed responses to the questions). Attach and include any additional information to accurately reflect your project. Please sign and date your completed application before submission.
